Mary J. Lindley

Mary Lindley, 78, of Milan, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled. The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Humane Society of Scott County (2802 W Central Park Ave, Davenport IA 52804) or The Groom Room (612 1st St. W, Milan, Il 61264).

The former Mary Jane Mindock was born September 24, 1943, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of John Russell and Hazel Loretta (Redhead) Mindock. She married Bobbie Lee Lindley and had three children before separating.

Mary worked as a Hair Stylist in Milan, IL, a Sous Chef for The Mark of the Quad Cities in Moline, IL and Owned and Operated Chic Nails in Rock Island, IL.

Mary enjoyed catering, party planning and spending time with her friends and family.

Mary is survived by three children, Todd (Karen) Lindley of Cumming, Georgia, Brad (Rena) Lindley of Goddard, Kansas, and Jennifer Anthony of Davenport, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Paul (Tiffany) Fuller, Scott (Amanda) Fuller, Gretchen (Jake) Taylor, Garrett Lindley, Monica Lindley, Marcus Lindley, Faith Lindley; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Russell Mindock Jr. and Robert “Bob” C. Mindock, Sr. and her sister, Joan C. Mindock Leingang.
