Moline, Illinois Mary E. Hall, 85, formerly of Moline, died Thursday, December 25, 2003, in Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Moline, with The Reverend Dan Cole officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the church. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements. Mary Elizabeth Hall was born June 25, 1918, in Moline, the daughter of Alfred T. and Minnie (Cathers) Hall. She was secretary to Drs. Ellis and Otis and served as Deputy Registrar under Dr. Otis for 15 years, retiring in 1983. She had had a caning business with her brother, George, and also taught the caning process. She operated Physician's Exchange answering service out of her home, and worked at Lutheran Welfare Services. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Moline, for 72 years, and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, doing crafts, reading her Bible, and listening to WDLM radio, and loved chocolate candy. Mary is survived by seven nieces and a nephew, Betty Thompson of Moline, Harriett Risse of Readlyn, Iowa, Barbara Hershey of Memphis, Tennessee, Diane Overfield of Anniston, Alabama, Ken Hall of Davenport, Sue Neuman of Moline, Charlotte Stockman of Davenport, and Courtney Schneider of Indiana; and many great-nieces and great-nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, George, Warren and Howard Hall, and three sisters, Linna Allgood, Clarice Schmook, and Audrey Hansen.
