Marvin M. Kuse

Marvin Kuse, 86, passed away and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at home.

Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Liberty Cemetery, Atkinson, Illinois. Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory, Moline, is assisting the family.

Marv was born August 10, 1930, in Albertville, Wisconsin, the son of Richard and Elizabeth "Louise" Kuse. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years and married Julie Nicdao on May 16, 1994, in Rock Island, Illinois.

Marvin worked at J.I. Case in Rock Island as a stationary engineer, retiring in the early ‘90's. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Geneseo, and Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline. He enjoyed farming and tractors, antique cars, tinkering with old engines, traveling, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed restaurants and home cooking, as well as gospel music.

Marv is survived by his wife, Julie; six daughters, Pamela Sanderson of Davenport, Darla Henrichs of Moline, Lisa Anderson, Natalie (Bryan) Fera of Camdenton, Missouri, Charlotte Cronin of Austin, Texas, and Melissa Gregory of Columbia, Missouri; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Alice, Mabel and Cora. He was preceded in death by siblings, Daniel, Harry, Richard, Harold, Lizzy, and Betty.
