Martha L. Cooper

Aledo, Illinois Martha L. Cooper, 61, of Roseville, formerly of Aledo, died Sunday, January 5, 2003 at the Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Martha Cooper Memorial Fund. Martha was born on February 20, 1941 in Rushville, Illinois to James and Della Fae (Root) McDonald. She married Milford Cooper on October 4, 1957 in Rushville, Illinois. Martha was a devoted Nurses Aide with the Mercer County Nursing Home for 30 years and with Lynncrest Nursing Home for 2 years, retiring in 1999. She truly enjoyed her work with the residents. Martha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved being with her family and friends. She enjoyed eagle and bird watching, reading and collecting antiques. Martha is survived by her husband Milford; her mother, Della McDonald of Havana, IL; her children and their spouses: Brad and Daisy Cooper of Aledo; Becky Driscoll of Lake Elsinore, CA; Bonny and Jerry Heinrichs of Aledo and David and Stacy Cooper of Lebanon, IN; 3 sisters and their spouses: Helen and Wayne Diseron of Rushville, IL; Marilyn and Monte Emmons of Lewiston, IL and Judy and John Coulter of Las Vegas, NV; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and another lovingly expected in March.
