Marsha Lyn Miller, 74, died the 13th of September 2021, surrounded by the love of her family at her home in Geneseo, Illinois.
No funeral service will be held. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
Mrs. Miller was born on the 15th of March 1947, in Colfax, Washington, to Leslie and Edna Metzger. She met the love of her life, Daniel T. Miller, while attending college at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington.
Marriage to Daniel brought many adventures to Marsha’s life. As the wife of a military officer, and then a commercial pilot, Marsha had the opportunity to live in locations she would have never expected. Marsha and Daniel traveled extensively with their two children through Europe and the Middle East, collecting memories and souvenirs they would share with everyone they met.
As with any marriage, there were high-highs and low-lows, but they never ignored the vows they made to each other.
She was an amazing teacher who influenced the lives of hundreds of students, and all of them will remember reading time and popcorn parties on Fridays.
As a mother and grandmother, she enjoyed sharing her love of reading, knitting, quilting, gardening, and baking. She always had some kind of project she was working on to give as a handmade gift.
She is survived by her two children, Danisha and Thomas, as well as her four grandchildren, Melanie, Amanda, Kade, and Skylie.
