Marlo J. Carson, 79, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, August 2, 2021, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. The family will host a luncheon immediately following services at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe. Private burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery.
The former Marlo Jean Sellers was born September 8, 1941, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert and Mildred (Peterson) Sellers. She married Donald Carson on January 7, 1960, in Morrison, Illinois. He died June 7, 2017.
Marlo attended Heritage Church, Rock Island, and was a woman of strong faith. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and was a gifted artist, especially of folk art. She was also an avid reader.
She is survived by four children, Cary (Celeste) Carson of Gillett, Pennsylvania, Aaron Carson of Springfield, Missouri, Andrea Spainhower of Rock Island, and Lt. Col. (Ret) Adam Carson of Augusta, Georgia; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Don Hugaert of Mesa, Arizona; and in-laws, Larry Carson and Jim (Susan) Carson, all of Moline.
