Mark W. Allerton

Mark W. Allerton, 65, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, August 24, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Memorials may be made to the Quad Cities Autism Center, Moline.

Mark Ward Allerton was born May 26, 1948, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Lee and Alice Allerton. He married Paula Steele.

Mark worked for Berry Plastics in Bettendorf, Iowa, for the past 13 years, where he was set to retire this week.

He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mark is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Alan Hansen, and a son, Kory Allerton, all of Moline, grandchildren, Morgan, Preston, Cameron, and Corbin, and a step-mother, Faye Allerton of Branson, Missouri. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Allerton.
