Mark S. Janecek

Mark S. Janecek, 62, of Blue Grass, Iowa, formerly of Moline, Illinois, passed peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley, with Rev. Tim Snart officiating. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, at CityView Celebrations in the lower level at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House or WDLM-FM - Moody Radio Quad Cities.

Mark was born February 19, 1957, in Pekin, Illinois, to C. Edward and Jeannine (O'Brien) Janecek. He married Patricia Bramlett on June 4, 1977, in Moline.

He worked for Crescent Laundry in Davenport for over 40 years as maintenance manager. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears and Nascar fan. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Mark.

Mark is survived by his wife, Patricia; a son, Craig (Sheila) Janecek of DeWitt, Iowa; a daughter, Lisa (Ryan) West of LeClaire, Iowa; grandchildren, Grace, Natalie, Audrey, Ethan, and Andrew; three brothers, David Janecek of Fairbury, Illinois, Richard (Kay) Janecek of Coal Valley, and Phillip (Julie) Janecek of Bettendorf; his father-in-law, Harold Bramlett, Sr. of Moline; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Parker of Moline; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lynn (Richard) Royall, Pamela (Paul) Reynolds, and Harold (Rita) Bramlett, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to give special thanks to Genesis Hospice VNA and Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House for the wonderful care given to Mark.
