Marjorie L. Swayne, 95, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Friday, November 14, 2014, in UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Tim Snart officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

The former Marjorie Lillian Morris was born May 25, 1919, in Pontiac, Illinois, to William Everett and Lillian Almira (Myer) Morris. She graduated from Illinois State University, and married Floyd Swayne on June 16, 1941, in Rock Island, Illinois, He died August 15, 1972.

Marjorie is survived and will be greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews and their families, including Vicki Morris Kesler of Martinsville, Illinois; Carolyn and Doug Pearson of Cary, Illinois, Jamie and Ann Swayne of Lake Zurich, Illinois, Carol Frink and Wade St. Amand of Olympia, Washington, William and Suna Morris of Montgomery, North Carolina, Linda and Larry Marlow and Charles and Debbie Morris of The Villages, Florida, and Tina and David Cressler of Crown Point, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband; her beloved daughters, Shirley and Nancy Swayne; and brothers, Everett and Kenneth Morris.

She will also be greatly missed by her many friends.
