Marjorie K. Ridenour

Marjorie K. Ridenour, 96 of Moline, Illinois died peacefully surrounded by family, April
13, 2019.

A visitation will be held May 6, 11:30 A.M. at Riverside United Methodist Church in Moline, with funeral services directly following at 12:30, followed by lunch. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, Silvis, Illinois. Donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, or Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, STE: 800 Chicago, Illinois. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.

Marjorie K. Ridenour was born July 28,1922 in Greenville, Illinois, the beloved fifth child of Charles and Julia (Covell) Karn. After graduating Moline Business College, Margie worked for John Deere Mansur Works from 1942-1947 as a clerk-typist and book-keeper. This is where she met the love of her life, Larry Ridenour. They married on July 29, 1944 in Rock Island, Illinois and were blessed with two beautiful children, Janet and David.

Later in life, Margie worked for the Board of Ed. 1967-1976. Margie was a member, and past President, of the Chapter BL P.E.O. Sisterhood, a Scout leader, President of the Moline Boys Choir, a devoted and committed member to her church, United Methodist, Moline. In retirement, Margie loved traveling the world with Larry (The Holy Land being their favorite).

Family was very important to her- especially her grandchildren who brought her so much joy! She loved baking her famous rolls and homemade pies! Gooseberry and Rhubarb being the big hit!

She is survived by her son and daughter in-law David and Joanne Ridenour, Minooka, Illinois. Grandchildren Kate Meyer (Andrew) Moline, Illinois Matthew Konecky (Ashley) Palm Beach Gardens Florida. Jenna Ridenour-Dietze (Mitch) Las Vegas, Nevada. Greg Ridenour (Brianna) Minooka, Illinois. Two beautiful Great granddaughters, Jade Konecky and Joanna Dietze. Her brother Merle Karn (Karna) and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husband Larry, 12-6-1991, daughter Janet Konecky, 1-15-18, son-in-law John Konecky, 2-8-11, brothers Kenneth, Carroll, Donald, and Roland, sisters Lilah and Marian.
