Marjorie Hansen Carlson, 92, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, in Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, Illinois.
Services are 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Gilda?s Club or Faith Lutheran Church.
The former Marjorie Florence Hansen was born October 25, 1916, in Chicago, the daughter of Daniel S. and Anna (Magnuson) Hansen. She married F. Willard Carlson on October 28, 1944, in Moline. He died November 12, 2005. She was a secretary at Franklin Elementary School, Moline, for 14 years.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Moline, League of Women Voters, and Margaret Bottome-McGee Circle of King?s Daughters. She enjoyed embroidery and sewing.
Marjorie is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel P. and Carla Carlson of Kingwood, Texas, and David A. Carlson of Moline; Two grandchildren, Christine Payne and her husband Jonathan of Dallas, Texas, and David A. Carlson of Austin, Texas; a sister, Marion Welty of Colona, Illinois; a brother and sister-in-law, Burton and Mary Hansen of Moline; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Warren Hansen.
