Moline, Illinois Marie Roehr Johnson, 47, of Clinton, Iowa, formerly of Moline, died suddenly Thursday, September 20, 2001, in Genesis West Medical Center, Davenport. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Wesleyan Church, Rock Island. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Because of Marie's concern for others, memorials may be made to the American Red Cross for Disaster Relief. The former Marie Alda Van Evera was born October 23, 1953, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Rynier and Dorothy (Thor) Van Evera. She graduated from Bettendorf High School and from the former Moline Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She married James A. Roehr on March 23, 1974, in Moline; he died July 28, 1998. She married Roger E. Johnson on April 29, 2000, in Clinton, Iowa. Marie was a Registered Nurse since 1973, and was Third Shift Supervisor at Trinity Medical Center North Campus, Davenport, for the past ten years, last working Wednesday. She was a member of Heritage Wesleyan Church, Rock Island, was affiliated with Chancy Lutheran Church, Clinton, and was a member of American Nursing Association. She enjoyed stamp collecting and antiques. She was a dedicated health care professional who had great concern for others. Marie is survived by her husband, Roger; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George A. Roehr and Hadassah Bergstrom of Waterloo, Iowa, and John A. Roehr of Lenexa, Kansas; her father, Rynier Van Evera of Davenport; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Michael Birmingham of Davenport and Rose Van Evera-Kress and Thomas Kress of Caledonia, Wisconsin.
