Mariam L. Miller

Mary L. Miller, 79, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Saturday, June 15, 2002 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Illinois. Visitation is 5 to 8 PM Monday at Trimble Funeral Home 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, Illinois. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Memorials may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the Diabetes Foundation. Mariam Launie McClean was born February 20, 1923 in, Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Ray and Hazel (Cray) McClean. She married Forrest Lee Miller Sr. on August 23, 1946 in Olathe, Kansas. He died on January 1, 1989. Mrs. Miller attended New Hope Baptist Church in Coal Valley, where in the past had volunteered much of time. She enjoyed working in her yard, and deeply loved her granddaughters. Mrs. Miller is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Fred Mueller of Milan, Illinois; and her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Bud and Lavon Miller of Rock Island, and Jack Miller of Coal Valley; three granddaughters, Kelly and Rich Heidecke of Westmont, Illinois, Krystal Mueller of Tampa, Florida, and Kristine Mueller of Chicago, Illinois; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Jewell BeDuhn of Quincy, Illinois, Betty and Jack Douglas of Coal Valley, Illinois, and Alvina Kaltenbach of Quincy, Illinois; along with a brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty McClean of Quincy, Illinois. Mrs. Miller was also preceded in death by her sister Fay Rosselle, and three brothers, Ray, Donald, and Cecil McClean.
