Mariah N. Liedtke

Mariah Liedtke, 22, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, March 27, 2017, at home.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Coal Valley, with The Rev. Tim Snart officiating. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 1:00 to 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established for her children.

Mariah Noelle Liedtke was born January 13, 1995, in Manila, Philippines, and adopted by her parents, Richard and Michelle (Stogsdill) Liedtke at 11-months. She graduated from Moline High School in 2012. She had been working at J & B Meats in Coal Valley for several years.

As a teen, Mariah showed Afghan Hounds and played softball for many years. She enjoyed shopping and was a talented artist.

Mariah is survived by her children, Haley Schaffter and Jordan Rollins; her parents, Richard and Michelle of Coal Valley; three sisters, Miranda of Moline, and Myrissa and Mackinna, both of Coal Valley; a niece, Kairi Ruby; grandparents, Carol and Jerry Stogsdill of Coal Valley; aunts and uncles, Terry and Randy Bandekow of Davenport, Kurt and Kelly Liedtke of Carbon Cliff, Thad and Beth Shumaker of Bettendorf, Cheryl and Bob Patterson of Missouri, and Jerry and Polly Stogsdill of Silvis; numerous cousins; and many friends, including her honorary sister, Breanna Fecht. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard Liedtke and Elizabeth Shumaker, along with her step-grandfather, Larry Shumaker.
