Marguerite "Marge" Lief-Jensen, age 82, of Colona, formerly of Moline, died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at Rosewood Care Center in Moline. Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM in Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, with burial following in Moline Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to The American Heart Association. The former Marguerite Marie Lief was born July 27, 1921 in Cambridge, Illinois the daughter of Carl and Helvie (Johanson) Lief. She married Shirley Courtney Jensen in June of 1943; he died on March 12, 1984. Prior to marriage Marge worked at Whitey's Ice Cream in Moline, then later worked selling Jewel Tea from door to door in the 1950's. She then stayed home to raise her family. Marge was always a hard worker, enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening, and loved her grandkids. Survivors include her four daughters, Shirley Schwartz of Colona, Sharon Kehoe of Rock Island, Diane Bantz of Rock Island, and Kathy Goodyear of Cambridge, Illinois, ten grandchildren, Brian, Brad, and Dawn Schwartz, Pamela, and Kevin Kehoe, Brent, and Stacy Bantz, and Scott, Todd, and Jacqueline Goodyear, two great-grandchildren, Lyric Goodyear, and Tyler Bantz, and a sister, Alfhilda Brumit of Texas. Fifteen sisters, and brothers preceded her in death.
