Margie M. Schultz

Margie M. Schultz, 84, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, in her home.

Services are 11 a.m. Monday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Chaplain Don Johnston officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services.

The former Margie Mae Carlson was born October 21, 1933, in Edgington, Illinois, to George and Naomi Wait Carlson. She married William A. Schultz on February 14, 1981, in Rock Island. He died April 26, 2016. She had been a dietary aide at the former Franciscan Hospital. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, embroidery, and fishing.

Margie is survived by four children and their spouses, Steve and Lori Weeks of East Moline, David and Julie Weeks of Geneseo, Illinois, Pam and David Howe of Rock Island, and Doug and Sheri Weeks of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Carol Carlson of Rock Island, and a step-son, William Schultz and his fiancée Bianca Vera of Davenport. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Mike Weeks, and brothers, Dale, Robert, and Richard Carlson.
