Margaret Vinzant, 97, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, November 30, 2012, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Private services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Stanley Gustafson officiating. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Moline, where she was a member.
The former Margaret Annetta Luse was born August 10, 1915, to Ira and Annetta Womack Luse. She married Aulden Vinzant on July 11, 1934, in Princeton, Missouri. He died May 6, 1990. Margaret enjoyed sewing and made clothing for herself and her children, and took care of kids and grandkids for at least 40 years.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Janice Herrmann and her husband George, and Twila Cashen, all of Moline; three grandchildren and their spouses, Susan and Stanley Gustafson, Gary Herrmann, and Laura and John O?Melia; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Madolyn, Kelley, Jack Luse, and Helen Browning. She was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson, Derek Cashen, three brothers and four sisters.
