Moline, Illinois Margaret M. Dodd, 82, of Moline, died Thursday, January 13, 2005, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hope United Church of Christ, Moline, with The Reverend A. Parker Lewis III officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal where Moline American Legion Post #246 will present military honors. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. The former Margaret Mary Blunt was born September 10, 1922, in Moline, the daughter of Howard and Katherine (Scherer) Blunt. She married William Oscar Lewis Dodd on September 2, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland. He died December 17, 1991. She was a WAVE in the U.S. Navy during WW II. She was employed by Geifman's Food Store for almost 30 years, retiring as head cashier in 1982. She was a member of Hope United Church of Christ and Esther Circle of the church. She enjoyed lunches with Geifman Retirees, Navy Waves and her 11th Avenue C Friends. She loved to play cards, and do jigsaw puzzles, and travel. Margaret is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Wayne Jahns of Springfield, Ohio, Judy and Dave Collins and Barb and Dan Hawotte, all of Moline, and Marilyn and Bob Rada of East Moline; six grandchildren, Debra Jahns, Steven Jahns and his wife Niki, Jeffery Collins and his wife Krista, Eric Collins, Andrea Snow and her husband Greg, and Brian Hawotte and his wife Karla; four great-grandchildren, Craig and Molli Jahns, Casey Snow, and Riley Hawotte; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and John Race of Silvis, Clarice and Don Cramblit and Katherine Doss, all of Moline; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard Blunt of Atlanta, Georgia, Jerry and Leona Blunt of Holcomb, Wisconsin, and Betty Blunt of Moline. She was preceded in death by brothers, Dudley, Bud and Herman Blunt. END OF OBITUARY
