Mabel L. Anderson

Mabel L. Anderson, 93, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with Rev. Donald Levitt officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, where she was a member.

The former Mabel Louise Hansen was born November 22, 1912, in Chicago, the daughter of William C. and Margaret (Grones) Hansen. She completed nurses training in Chicago, and married John Herman Anderson on November 27, 1959, in Moline. He died May 22, 2002. She was office nurse for Dr. James Srail for 18 years, retiring in 1980, and previously worked for Dr. Elliott F. Parker. She loved to dance and play cards.

Mabel is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, with whom she was living, Judy and Paul Taets of Moline; a son and his partner, William Harder and Kay Schwarz of Daytona Beach Shores, Florida; three grandchildren and their spouses, Julie and Tim Nemmer, Nicole and Rich Herbst, and Michael and Laura Taets; and six great-grandchildren, Allison, Joseph, and Patrick Nemmer, and Jessica, Peter, and Andrew Taets.
