Marie M. Ringquist, 79, formerly of Rock Island, died Thursday, November 22, 2007, in Forest Hills Nursing and Rehab Center, East Moline.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007, in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Kenneth Harris officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline.
The former Marie May Elizabeth Goosens was born May 31, 1928, in Moline, the daughter of Rose (Zinger) and Emil Goosens. She married Wesley Delmar Ringquist on August 2, 1952, in Moline. He died December 29, 2002.
She was a meter maid for the City of Moline and also worked with her husband at A-1 Locksmith in Moline. She was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, and Moline Senior Citizens. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, quilting and crocheting.
Marie is survived by a niece and her husband, Susie and Norman Schroeder of Scottsdale, Arizona; a brother-in-law and his wife, Burt and Virginia Ringquist of Parrish, Florida; an aunt, Anne Ringquist of Moline, and their families.
