Una M. Nelson, 78, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, July 2, 2010, in Trinity, Rock Island.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2010, at South Park Presbyterian Church, 1501 30th Street, Rock Island, with The Reverend Kenn Shedenhelm officiating. Memorials may be made to the A.S.P.C.A. or a Humane Society of choice. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
The former Uma Mae Edwards was born December 31, 1931, in Oneida, to Samuel Otis and Pearl Vera Daniels Edwards. She graduated from Oneida High School in 1949, and from Brown?s Business College, Galesburg. She was employed at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg, and Lutheran Hospital, Moline, as a medical transcriptionist. She attended South Park Presbyterian Church, Rock Island, and was grateful to the church members for their help and care.
Una is survived by many nieces and nephews, and her loving companion, R. R. Anderson of Moline. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Samuel John, Charles, Archie and Jack, and a sister, Manesa Wright.
