Leonard M. King, 68, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.
Private family services are 1 p.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Cremation will follow the services.
Mr. King was born December 7, 1939, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a machine operator at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline, for 31 years. He belonged to UAW Local # 865 and East Moline Moose Lodge. He enjoyed reading and watching westerns.
Leonard is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Beth King of Taylor Ridge, Illinois, and three grandchildren, Kathryn King and Hayden King, both of Milan, Illinois, and Cassandra King of Morton, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen King on August 1, 2006.
