Angela Brenstrom Byrne Carter, 72, of Colona, Illinois, died Saturday, September 25, 2010, in her residence.
Services are 6 p.m. Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Rev. Sam Henderson officiating. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Care Center.
The former Angela Marie Brenstrom was born October 16, 1937, in Moline, the daughter of LeRoy and Dorothy Orth Brenstrom. She graduated from Alleman High School and was a drug and alcohol counselor for Robert Young Center and RICCA for several years, retiring on disability in 1995. She was a member of Green Rock Free Will Baptist Church, Colona, and the YMCA, and enjoyed gardening, swimming, collecting, and eating out.
Angelia is survived by three children, James Byrne of Woodstock, Georgia, and David Byrne and Mary Kay Fenton, both of Colona; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Beth Brenstrom of East Moline.
