Lynn M. Waligora-Uphoff

July 16, 1957 — October 2, 2022

Lynn M. Waligora-Uphoff, 65, of Bettendorf, Iowa, peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.

A memorial mass and luncheon will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 15, 2022, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4097 18th Street, Bettendorf. Cremation took place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Lynn’s memory.

Lynn Mary Waligora was born July 16, 1957, in Burlington, Iowa, daughter of Edwin and Sue (Samuelson) Waligora. Lynn graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1975.

She worked as a bank teller for many years but was currently working in retail sales. Lynn easily built work friendships along her way; she cherished each of those special connections.

Lynn found such joy in making others feel special. She searched year-round to find perfect gifts for each person to give on birthdays or Christmas. Her children hold those memories close to their hearts and thank her for always making those events as special as she could.

Lynn lived a simple life. She enjoyed live concerts, 4th of July events, her grandchildren’s sporting events, watching Iowa Hawkeye football games, playing board games with her family, watching hummingbirds drink from feeders she had on her deck, shopping and sharing meals.

Lynn is survived by her daughters, Emily Torre, Sara Ewen, and Anne Ewen, all of Bettendorf; her son, Thomas Uphoff of Iowa City; her parents, Edwin and Sue Waligora; her grandchildren, Valentino Torre, Ellese Davidson, Roman Johnson, Jacob Jensen, and Cassidy Ewen-Jones; and her sister, Karen Waligora-Darrow of Bettendorf. She was preceded in death by her sister, Beth Waligora-Urmy.

Condolences may be shared at CremationQC.com.
