Lynn Eifler, 71, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died peacefully Friday, May 3, 2019, in her home.
Services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 8, at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley, with Fr. Tony Ego officiating. Burial is at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is at 1:00 pm one hour before the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church (220 E 22nd Avenue, Coal Valley, IL 61240).
Lynn Marie Eifler was born November 26, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois, to Franz and Erna (Weber) Eifler. She was employed at Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley for 28 years and retired in 1998 to take care of her mother. Miss Eifler was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and donated to multiple charities with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital holding a special place in her heart. She was a wonderful caregiver, avid Cubbies fan, enjoyed embroidery, collecting trinkets, a professional Hy-Vee deal finder and a kind soul.
Lynn is survived by her great-nephew, Jason Wild; great-niece, Danielle (Jeramy) Blackwood; and nephew-in-law, Robert Wild, all of Rock Island. Also surviving is her nephew, Norris (Vicki) Youngberg of Coal Valley and great-nieces; Nannette (Jeff) Walters, Tammy (Dan) Roach, Heather (Scott) Barber, and cousin Lillian McIntosh; and many other cousins and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Franz and Erna (Weber) Eifler; sister Helene "Leni" (Eifler) Youngberg and niece Roxanne "Roxy" (Youngberg) Wild.
