Lucille Dennhardt

October 3, 1917 — March 18, 2016

Lucille "Babe" Dennhardt, 98, East Moline, Illinois, formerly of Coal Valley, Illinois, was received into the arms of the Lord at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, on Friday, March 18, 2016. Lucille was surrounded by her loving family and fortified by the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley. Rosary will be one-half hour before visitation. The family encourages all Cubs, Bulls, and Illini fans to wear their favorite team's or casual apparel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Rite of Christian Burial will be at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22.

Lucille was born on October 3, 1917, to Louis and Anna Hannigan Donder. She was united in marriage to Richard E. Dennhardt on November 2, 1935, in Peoria, Illinois. Lucille was past President of the Spanish American War Veterans Auxiliary and the Daughters of "98". She had been employed as an insurance clerk for 18 years by several local doctors.

She is survived by daughters Barbara (Jack) Merrill; Nancy (Jim, deceased) Hunt; sons Ronald (Janie, deceased); and Richard (Ann Rae) . She has 11 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 15 great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Richard, in 2007; parents; son-in-law, James Hunt; daughter-in-law, Janie Dennhardt; two infant great grandsons, Morgan Richard Harl and Lincoln Augustus King Dennhardt; two brothers, Alvin and Paul Donder; and a sister, LaVern Hirsch Morgan. A special remembrance to nieces Tracy Downey and Sandra Lagerblade; and former thoughtful neighbors, Kathy and Dan Stegall, and Jan Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of Masses for Lucille; the Church for the Community Pantry; or a favorite charity. Lucille's family invites friends to share stories and condolences and light a free candle in her memory at www.TrimbleFuneralHomes.com.
