Moline, Illinois Louise E. Hardi, 87, of Moline, died Saturday, April 24, 2004, in Grandview Health Care Center, Washington, Missouri. Services are 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, and 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. Entombment is in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley, where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association. The former Louise Esther Bennett was born January 30, 1917, in Wacker, Illinois, the daughter of Parker Leonard and Emily (Gruber) Bennett. She married Jacob John Hardi on May 20, 1937, in East Moline. She had worked at Dutchway Cleaners, Moline, for 12 years. She was a charter member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, and had held all of the offices in the Altar Societies at both St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan, and St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. She had been a 4-H leader, and enjoyed birds, crafts, flowers, and gardening. Louise is survived by her husband, Jacob; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Pam Hardi of Montague, California; three daughters and sons-in-law, Illene and Thomas Hunter of Davisville, Missouri, Carol and John Nortman of Ballwin, Missouri, and Diana and Ed Marshall of Cottonwood, California; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Iola and Ray Hammelman of Sterling, Illinois, and Helen and Wendell Coats of Sun City, Arizona; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Floyd and Janet Bennett of Sterling, and Raymond and Mabel Bennett of Rock Island.
