Joan Lou Bystrom, 72, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, in Trinity Medical Center, Moline.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. The Reverend Roger Christianson will officiate. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
The former Joan Lou Hall was born January 12, 1935, in Ashland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Reginald and Elizabeth (DeBryan) Hall. She married Jonas Dean Bystrom on August 12, 1954, in East Moline.
She will be missed by all, but leaves many fond memories and her spirit will go on with all who loved her so much.
Joan is survived by her husband, Jonas Dean; a daughter, Linda C. Ruby of Moline; two sons, Dean A. Bystrom and his partner Debra Staley of Moline, and Bruce E. Bystrom and his wife Ellen of Decatur, Michigan; five grandchildren, Toshawa Bystrom, Timothy Swoveland, Adam Bystrom, Jennifer Bystrom, and Matthew Marshall; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Ida Kuepfer, Patricia McPherson, and Winona Hall; and nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lylis Mattson, and brothers, Earl and Reginald Hall.
