Loretta M. Lindquist, 84, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Allure of The Quad Cities.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2024, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church, Moline, Illinois, where she was a member for over 50 years.
The former Loretta Mae Kammermann was born February 5, 1940 at Moline Public Hospital to Fred and Agnes (Gobat) Kammermann. She married the love of her life, Rod Lindquist, on September 8, 1962, at Beulah Presbyterian Church in Orion. She began her working career at The Daily Dispatch, then went to J.I. Case in Rock Island, and finished her career at John Deere Industrial Works in Moline.
In Loretta’s younger years she was involved with PTA, church choir, music guild, YMCA, and was a card club member for 50 years. She enjoyed traveling to many Caribbean islands where she took up the hobbies of fishing and canoeing. She also was thrilled to go to New York City to be with her daughter, Jane, as she gave birth to her 3 grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Rod Lindquist; her children, Kirk Lindquist, and Jane (Joseph) Lindquist Saad; her grandchildren, Lily, Anna, and Kate; and her sister, Lois (Keith) Johnson. She is preceded by her parents; her sisters, Mary Eloise Gould, and Eleanor Garrison; and her brother, Marvin Lee Kammermann.
