Lonnie D. Dickie, Sr., 74, of East Moline, Illinois, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017, in his home on Campbell's Island.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Rev. Brian Gallaway officiating. Visitation is one hour before the services. Following the services, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to the Lonnie Dickie Memorial Fund at Vibrant Credit Union.
Lonnie D. Dickie was born July 28, 1942, in Oran, Missouri, to Louie and Ellen Cook Dickie. He married Patricia Ann Abernathy on June 13, 1964, in Sikeston, Missouri. She passed away on February 29, 2012. He was a maintenance millwright for John Deere Foundry for over 30 years, retiring when the foundry closed in 1995. He was a member of Green Rock Free Will Baptist Church, Colona, and enjoyed fishing, photography, and camping.
Lonnie is survived by two children, Laura McIe and her husband Robert of Atkinson, Illinois, and Lonnie Dickie Jr. and his partner Rosalind Woznicki of Seattle, Washington; two grandchildren and their spouses, Kayla and Sam Hollars and Byron and Alexis Dickie; great-grandchildren, Corbin and Ashton Hollars and one he eagerly anticipated in October, Maddix Dickie; and siblings Deo Allred of Sikeston, and Louise Fowler of Colona.
