Lois J. Marsoun, 82, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, Iowa.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.  Private burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline, at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the church.

The former Lois Jean Fryxell was born November 16, 1940, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Chester and Louella (Teuscher) Fryxell.  She married William Marsoun, Sr. on August 18, 1973, in Moline.  He died December 2, 2002.

She practiced her strong faith through many ways over the years including as a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, Child Evangelism Fellowship, and Christian Women’s Club.  She also lead Bible studies in her home for over 30 years, up until the day before she passed away.

She was active at the Moline Activity Center, Moline Historical Society, and Immanuel Lutheran School.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Lois, and she especially loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in their sporting events and activities.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Lori and Larry Wilson of Moline; three step-children, William and Cathy Marsoun, Jr. of Rock Island, Marcus and Pat Marsoun of East Galesburg, Illinois, and Stephanie Bein of Manitowoc, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Jacob (Audrey) Wilson, Aaron (Kristina) Wilson, Olivia (David) Martin, Elizabeth Marsoun, Richard (Megan) Marsoun, Andrea (Alan) Mosley, Trever Bein, and Alycia Bein; 13 great-grandchildren; and many special friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; step-son, Milton Marsoun; son-in-law, Peter Bein; two sisters, Lorna Schade and Rachel Lindberg; and a brother, Keith Fryxell.
