Lois A. Kessler, 92, of Aledo, Illinois, died Monday, February 4, 2025, at Arcadia Care at Aledo.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be at North Cemetery in Geneseo, Illinois, held at a later date. 

Lois Anita Kessler was born February 19, 1932, in Erie, Illinois, the daughter of Jess William and Myrle Marie (Clodfelder) Johnson. She married Dean Charles Noblitt, whom after many wonderful years passed in 1956. After Dean’s passing, she married John Collins, with whom she remained friends with after separation. 

Lois worked as a housekeeper at Hillcrest Nursing Home and privately, where she enjoyed being able to clean and be around others. After having children, she cut back on working to put her time into motherhood. She was a member of Erie Catholic Church, in Erie, Illinois. She later married Robert Kessler, Sr., who also preceded her in death. 

She enjoyed spending her time reading and doing puzzles, such as word searches. She enjoyed being able to teach her girls how to cook, which allowed her to not do all the cooking. Lois spent multiple years making memories with her significant other, Lyle Wirth, before his passing in 2016. Above everything else, Lois was always happiest in the presence of her grandchildren. 

Lois is survived by her daughters, Diane Dolieslager, Connie Adams, and Norma Jean Sorell; grandchildren, Dean Dolieslager, Amy Adams, Jason Sorell, Jennifer Berry, and Daniel Bidwell; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Frank William; a baby sister, Helen; great-granddaughter, Mickayla; and a great-great-granddaughter, Natalya.
