Lois June Weber

Lois “June” Weber, 77, passed away September 26, 2022 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, Illinois, with visitation one hour prior. Private interment will be at Argyle Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Argyle Presbyterian Church, Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, or American Cancer Society.

Lois “June” Holden was born January 12, 1945 to Martin and Lois (Huether) Holden at St. Luke’s Hospital in Davenport, Iowa. On June 27, 1976 she was united in marriage to Weston Edward Weber at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He died December 16, 2008.

June graduated from Davenport West High School with the class of 1963. She worked at Davenport Bank and Rock Island Arsenal as an office assistant/typist for three years each. She also worked in the same capacity at M&H Machine, her father’s tool and die company.

She was a devoted mother and housewife, and also a wonderful cook. She had a creative spirit, enjoying painting, knitting, and other crafts. She also enjoyed playing the piano.

In her later years she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Alaina and Anderson. She also enjoyed dinners with the “lunch bunch” as well as visits and outings with her sister Karen. She also enjoyed trips back to the farm to visit friends.

Survivors include two sons, Shane Weber of Bettendorf, and Alan (Amanda) Weber, and their two children, of Coralville; sister, Karen Gannon of Davenport; brother, Mark (Karen) Holden of Davenport; brothers-in-law, Gene Weber of Des Moines, and Dean (Kathy) Weber of Argyle; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Gardner of Keokuk, Berni (Loren) Munson of Atlanta, Georgia, and Gerri (Ken) Lane of Moline; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
