Lois C. Butt, 80, of Moline, died Thursday, April 21, 2005, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Services are 6 p.m. Monday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend George Loveland officiating. Cremation will follow the service and private burial will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch, Coal Valley.
The former Lois Claudine Hollmer was born June 7, 1924, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Henning and Bess (Brown) Hollmer. She married Robert M. Butt on October 7, 1944, in New York City. He died April 23, 1996.
Lois was a member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline. She volunteered at the Arrowhead Ranch Round-Up for many years, had been active in Grant School PTA, and loved garage sales.
Lois is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis M. and Diane Butt of East Moline and Robert C. Butt of Moline; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Butt and his wife Ginny, Bryan Butt, Bradley Butt, and Melissa Butt; three great-grandchildren, Brittany, Megan, and Mikaela Butt; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Gloria Hollmer of Blue Grass, Iowa, and Robert and Doris Hollmer of Andalusia. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Daniel P. Butt and Jeffrey Butt; and two sisters, JoAnn Wolken and Ruth Steffen.
