Linda L. Thompson

Linda Thompson, 82, of Davenport, Iowa, died Friday, April 23, 2021, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. No services will be held, and private burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County.

The former Linda Lee Redmon was born May 26, 1938, in Moline to Edgar Jay and Ruth Marie (Mackie) Redmon. She married Theodore N. “Ted” Thompson on August 8, 1959 in Moline, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2013.

Linda was previously employed as a bank teller at Davenport Bank and Trust before becoming a homemaker.

She enjoyed antiques, garage saling, cooking, baking, and crossword puzzles. Linda served as a Den Leader when her boys were in Cub Scouts. She loved being a mom.

Linda is survived by sons Tim (Eileen) Thompson of Blue Grass, Iowa and Dan Thompson of Davenport, Iowa; grandchildren, Emily Thompson, Samantha Thompson, and Taylor Thompson; and her dog Brooke.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and two sons, David L. Thompson and Robert N. Thompson.
