Linda L. Chick

Linda L. Chick, 73, of East Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, May 30, 2015, in Rosewood Care Center, Moline, Illinois.

There will be a gathering of friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m., at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

The former Linda Lee Brown was born November 24, 1941, in Leon, Iowa, to Kenneth and Jeanetta (Mead) Brown. She married Lloyd E. "Skip" Chick on September 29, 1967, in Moline. She was a custodian for East Moline Schools for 14 years, retiring in 2004. She previously was co-owner of Quad City Raceway in East Moline in the 1970's. She was a member of Women of the Moose Lodge #190 for 32 years, and a member of the Rock Island Boat Club for 18 years. She enjoyed doing crafts and sewing.

Linda is survived by her husband, Skip; two children and their spouses, Karen and Dennis Roberts of East Moline, and Nick and Shirley Musick of Elgin, Texas; five grandchildren, Eric, Evan, Christopher, Joe, and Jason; five great-grandchildren; and a sister and her husband, Judy and Ron Dunnett of Andalusia, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Lori Chick; and siblings, Karen Kay Brown, Connie Frank, Kenneth "Bud" Brown and Larry Brown.
