Linda D. Hooks

Linda D. Hooks, 58, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Monday, January 4, 2021, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

A gathering will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Linda was born November 11, 1962, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Gordon and Margaret (Ginter) Hooks. She worked as a bus driver for the City of Lincoln, Nebraska, and enjoyed her time as a truck driver.

Spending time with her family was the most important thing to Linda, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting serval different things, which included her Indian collection and porcelain dolls. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was into her house plants and gardening.

Linda is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Hooks of Rock Island, and Robert (Alena) Edwards of Milan; grandchildren, Xaiveur Hooks, and Jordyn, Delaney and Dawson Edwards; siblings, Sandra (Herman) Meyer, Barbara Terrell, Cathy (Steve) Krieg, Janet (Rick) Schultz, John (Diane) Hooks, and Tom (Theresa) Hooks; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Mary Hooks, William Hooks and Nancy Sparks.
