Linda L. Baker

Linda L. Baker, 79, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline, with Rev. Anthony Liston officiating.  The family will greet friends and continue to celebrate Linda’s life at a luncheon immediately following services at CityView Celebrations at Trimble Pointe.  Private burial at Davenport Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to King’s Harvest Pet Rescue or Iowa Donor Network.

The former Linda Lea Vaughn was born November 26, 1943, in McGregor, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Harriet (Cahalan) Vaughn.  She worked as a dietary supervisor at Genesis East Medical Center for 35 years.  She enjoyed her job and continued reading grocery ads, menus and medical books even after retiring.

She was an animal lover (especially cats) and loved playing games (especially Euchre).  She will be remembered as an amazing cook who loved cooking for her siblings on their annual hunting trip and for other family gatherings.  She also had a great sense of humor.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Linda, especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Linda is survived by three children, Christine Baker-Ingold of Davenport, Michell (Patrick) Riley of Bettendorf, and Joseph (Leslie) Baker of Davenport; six grandchildren, Kyle Ingold, Andrew (Noemi) Riley, Joe (Shelby) Riley, Cristal Baker, Jose Baker, and Joe (Bre) Baker; four great-grandchildren, Sophia, Leah, Sadie and Rhett; siblings, Jesse (Judy) Vaughn, Danny (Dorothy) Vaughn, and Michael (Mary) Vaughn; a sister-in-law, Lisa Vaughn; and her beloved cat, Peanut.  She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Collin Ingold; and siblings, Charlene Ihde, Lawrence Vaughn, and Patrick Vaughn.
