Rock Island, Illinois Lillian D. Meyers, 87, of Rock Island, formerly of Aledo and Reynolds, died Thursday, June 6, 2002, in Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, Illinois. Graveside services are 3 p.m. Tuesday at Aledo Cemetery, The Reverend John Crede will officiate. Visitation is from 2 until 3 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo. Memorials may be made to Oak Glen Home. The former Lillian Dorothy Gritton was born July 9, 1914, in Aledo, the daughter of Glen L. and M. Iona (Baker) Gritton. She married Sterling J. Meyers in 1933 in Aledo, and the couple divorced in 1983. She was a member of the Aledo Methodist Church. Lillian is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Glen E. and Patricia Meyers, a grandson and his wife, Scott and Rhonda Meyers, and a granddaughter, Lisa Meyers, all of Winter Haven, Florida. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Elliott, Leota Churchill, and Alice McMullen, and a brother, Kenneth Gritton.
