Leslie D. Griswold, 60, of Rock Island, Illinois, lost her battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, in her home. She fought it to her last breath like the warrior she was!

Services are 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. until service time. Memorials may be made to The Lung Cancer Foundation of America.

The former Leslie Denise Blackwood was born May 20, 1953, in San Francisco, California. She was raised by her father and step-mother, Jim and Kay Blackwood. She received a BA in Accounting from St. Ambrose University and worked as a payroll accountant for Quanex Building Products in Davenport.

Leslie was a gold-certified Zumba instructor and was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan.

She is survived by her loving companion of 15 years, Richard Trout of Rock Island, sons and a daughter-in-law, Brian and Yinabely Griswold of Alalachua, Florida, and Jason Griswold of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and her step-mother, Kay Blackwood of Petaluma, California. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother.
