A. Leone Lindley, 94, of East Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, September 14, 2008, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the church, where she had been a member for 76 years.
The former Anna Leone O?Neill was born December 24, 1913, in Wagner, South Dakota, the daughter of William L. and Anna Tracey (Maiwald) O?Neill. Her family moved to Moline when she was 2 years old, and she graduated from Moline High School in 1932. She married James Monroe Lindley on March 25, 1939, in Davenport, Iowa. He died September 9, 1966. She was employed at Royal Neighbors of America for 35 years, retiring as Deputy Supreme Oracle on December 31, 1978.
Leone is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Julie Anne and Gary Rodell of Rock Island; two grandsons and their spouses, James L. and Carrie Rodell of Willard, Missouri, and Joel W. and Kristin Rodell of Wichita, Kansas; and three great-grandchildren, Madalyn Kate, Ryan James, and Miles Judson Rodell. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Willard and Frances O?Neill.
