Leonard F. Johnson, 70, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, January 16, 2006, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, with The Reverend George Loveland officiating. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials gifts may be made to the family for care of one of the bike paths or parks that he loved.
Leonard Frank Johnson was born September 14, 1935, in Moline, the son of Warren and Elizabeth (Leonard) Johnson. He married Bonnie on September 30, 1956, in Rock Island. He was employed at Quad City Die Casting Company, Moline, for 25 years, retiring last year due to health. He previously worked at Fairbanks-Morse. He enjoyed photography and loved nature and the outdoors, riding his bike and walking by the river, and eating out, and especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Bonnie; three children, Vicky Ruklic and her husband Peter, TJ and her husband JB, and Eric Johnson and his fiancée Jennifer Rinell; and a granddaughter, Brooke Johnson.
