Lenard "Nardo" Robinson

Lenard “Nardo” Robinson, 62, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory following services. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in Leonard’s memory.

Lenard Robinson was born July 6, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Theoplies Teague and Lovell Robinson. He was a bubbly and handsome baby boy. His parents and siblings: Brenda Robinson, Linda Teague, Sharon Teague, Stephanie King, Daryl Teague, Marion Teague, and LaSalle Teague preceded him in death.

Lenard accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized by Rev. James Murphy at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. Lenard received his formal education at Manley Career Academy High School.

Lenard, affectionately known as “Nardo”, enjoyed spending time with his family. He was the life of the party, always making everyone laugh; pulling pranks, telling jokes and mimicking everyone. No one was excused. His playful personality and quick wit will truly be missed.

Lenard loved watching sports and spent countless hours watching basketball and football games on TV.

Lenard was an excellent skater. During his teen years you could find him at the Concrete Jungle roller-skating rink or outdoors riding his bike. In 1995, Lenard moved with his Mom and siblings to Rock Island, Illinois. There he spent many years working at Nancy Pies, in the warehouse as a forklift driver.

Lenard departed his early life on January 24, 2023.

Lenard leaves to cherish his fond memory, two daughters, Shakeyla Jackson and Iesha Robinson; one son, Nehemiah Robinson; a bonus son, Isaiah Harris; two granddaughters, Shanikwa Armstrong and Shauntenika Fleming; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Lauryn, and Skylar Russell; siblings, Isalee (George) Fisher, Carolyn Denise Robinson, Joe Michael (Carolyn) Robinson, Bernard (Katina) Robinson, Andre Robinson, Pearlie (Wayne)Teague-Tate, Theoplies (Shirley) Teague III, Carol (Lewis) Teague-Bryant, Jeanette (Anthony) Teague-Martin, Leslie (Deborah) Teague, Diann (Kevin) Teague-Roach, Theodore Teague, Curtis (Doral) Riley, Theoplies (Vandella) Stevenson, Steven Teague, and Marcus (Renee) Brooks; a very special friend, Minnie Lyle, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
