Laura A. "Sis" Marion

Laura A. "Sis" Marion, 73, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.

A hospitality gathering will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with a Time of Sharing for family and friends at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will take place prior to services at Trimble Crematory, with private burial in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. The former Laura Ann Morford was born December 29, 1948, in Moline, the daughter of Lou and Dolores (Palos) Morford. She married Dennis L. Marion on September 6, 1967, in Moline. He died September 7, 2015.

Laura worked in food service at the John Deere Parts Distribution Center in East Moline for three years and as a manager at Fritz’s Restaurant on 7th Street in Moline for four years.

She enjoyed crafting, sewing, painting, and baking. Above all else, family was the most important thing to Laura, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Laura is survived by three children and their spouses, Shannon and Guy Morse of Sherrard, Illinois, Nicole and Mike Melody of Rock Island, and Dennis Marion of Moline; six grandchildren, Dalton and Elizabeth Morse, Mackenzie and Hunter Melody, Dennis Zachary Marion, and Riley Marion; siblings, Stephen (Renee) Morford of Moline, Paul (Karen) Morford of Moline, Glen (Linda) Morford of Phoenix, Arizona, Dana (Carmen) Fritz of Rock Island, and Brad (Sue) Fritz of Coal Valley, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; father, Lou Morford; mother and step-father, Dolores and John Fritz; and brother, Alan Morford.
