Larry L. Wright, 74, of Coal Valley, Illinois died Thursday, July 4, 2013, in UnityPoint Health ? Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.


Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with Pastor Kirk Proctor officiating. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, where Moline American Legion will present military honors. Visitation is from Noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Larry Lowell Wright was born November 30, 1938, in Chariton, Iowa, to Donald and Margaret Brandon Wright. He served in the U. S. Army from 1961 to 1964. He retired from John Deere Plow-Planter, where he worked in assembly and was a union steward. He enjoyed bowling and golf.

Larry is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Leslie and Edward Kight of Moline, Illinois; a brother, Paul Lowe of Davenport, Iowa; and nephews and niece, Dale Nelson, Max Lowe, Kyle Lowe, Michael Wright, and Roni Lynn Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Larry L. Wright II; and a brother, Max Wright.
