Larry L. Brown, 55, of Carbon Cliff, Illinois, died Saturday, July 30, 2005, is his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2005, in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation will be one hour before the service. The body has been cremated and private interment will be held at a later date in Corydon, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.
Larry was born May 17, 1950, in Moline, the son of Kenneth and Jeanetta (Mead) Brown. He has been Handicapped since the age of 19 due to an automobile accident. He enjoyed helping his dad do carpentry work for many, many years in Iowa. He was a very good artist and enjoyed crafts of all kinds.
Larry is survived by a son, Aaron; a granddaughter, Alexa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Ron Dunnett of Andalusia, and Linda and Skip Chick of East Moline; a sister-in-law, Sue Brown of Peoria, Arizona, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Connie, and a brother Kenny (Bud) Brown. Many special thanks to his best friends, Stephen (Smitty) Smith and Ross DeRoo, and a very special thank you to Larry?s Hospice Nurse, Linda Cheek.
