Larry D. Claver, 81, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, January 5, 2023, at home.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial will take place at Moline Memorial Cemetery following the funeral service.

Larry Dean Claver was born August 10, 1941, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Ernest and Ann (Karasek) Claver. He married the love of his life, Shirley Jewell, on March 9, 1963, in Moline, Illinois.

He worked at East Moline Metals as a welder for nearly 40 years. Larry enjoyed stock car racing, fishing, yard work, driving the boat for the Backwater Gamblers, was a cat and rabbit lover, and above all else spending time with his family and friends.

Larry is survived by his wife, Shirley Claver; his children, Patricia (Eric) Knorr, Brenda (Rick) Hoover, JoAnn Claver, Angela Claver, and David Claver; his grandchildren, Cynthia, Melissa, Judith, Vicki, Jessica, Thomas, and Mason; 20 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Stella, Sally (Richard), Sandy (Jim), and Cindy; and his brother, Buddy. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Cynthia; 3 brothers, and 2 sisters; and his grandson, Jon Knorr.
