Lalita Chaudhry, 74, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, May 9, 2024, at home.

Visitation is 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline.  Memorials may be made to Apna Ghar (www.apnaghar.org).

Lalita was born May 25, 1949, in India, the daughter of Sohan Lal and Parwati Devi Saharan.  She married Dewat Ram Chaudhry, MD, and the couple was blessed with two children prior to separating.  

She enjoyed her career as a realtor for Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors in the Quad Cities and for Keller Williams Realty in both the Quad Cities and Chicago.  

She belonged to the Quad Cities Hindu Temple in Rock Island.  She was an avid MSNBC watcher and stock market investor.   She enjoyed going to Las Vegas, dining out, shopping for clothes, and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Lalita is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Neena Chaudhry-Willis and Anthony Willis of Bettendorf; three grandchildren, Clark, Kiran and Taj Willis; siblings, Nihal Singh Beniwal and Narotam Beniwal; and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Suneel K. Chaudhry; and siblings, Hari Singh Beniwal, Ratan Lal Beniwal, Vickram Singh Beniwal, Vishwasher Lal Beniwal, and Shiv Kauri Chaudhry.
