Richard L. Waffle, 42, of East Moline, Illinois, formerly of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, August 2, 2010, in Forest Hill Health and Rehab Center, East Moline.
Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with the Reverend Julio A. Alvarado from Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, officiating. Visitation is 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Richard Waffle Memorial Fund to be established by the family.
Richard Lee Waffle was born January 27, 1968, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Bruce and Cecilia (Bargas) Waffle. He was previously employed at Sbarro?s in Southpark Mall.
Rick is survived by a son, Joshua Waffle of Dekalb, Illinois; his father, Bruce; sisters and a brother-in-law, Gina and Hector Mendoza of East Moline, and Robin Waffle of Dekalb, Illinois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven and Norma Waffle of Douglasville, Georgia, James and Jodee Waffle of Rock Island, and Chris and Helen Waffle of Moline; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecilia, a brother, Jeffrey Waffle, and a nephew, Matthew Waffle.
