Alice ?Ali B? Knight of Rock Island, Illinois, died Sunday, September 30, 2007, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Greater Antioch Baptist Church, Rock Island, with Pastor Jarrod S. Parker officiating. Visitation is from 9:00 to 10:30 at the church. Cremation will follow the service. Memorials may be made to the Alice L. Knight Memorial Fund which will be established by the family.
The former Alice Louise Ferranti was born June 2, 1940, in Corning, New York, the daughter of William and Bertha (Sanky) Ferranti. She married Roosevelt Knight in 1966.
Alice worked as a CNA for what is now Trinity Medical Center. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Willie Johnson, and Sonya and Embra Hicks, all of Rock Island, and sons and a daughter-in-law, Anthony and Jacqueline Knight of Durant, Mississippi, and Roosevelt Knight Jr. and Kristin Wright of Bettendorf, Iowa; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and special friends, Janet Booker of Milan and Lisa Kimmons of Davenport, and their families.
